Field Study of Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles at CU Boulder

The Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute at CU-Boulder is conducting a field study of Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles, or PHVs.

Households drawn randomly will receive a 2010 Toyota Prius PHV for a test period of three months. The study’s purpose is to learn about the vehicle performance, integration of the vehicles on the electric power grid, and the perceptions, preferences, and experiences of households with the PHVs.

Organizations partnering with the University of Colorado in the study are Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., Xcel Energy, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
